Walter Reed
Resource Learning Center Renovation

Signature’s Learning Resource Center NAVFAC project at Walter Reed was a relevant federal design-build project where Signature performed as a general contractor interior facility renovation, demolition, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, communication, fire protection and security. Our proposed MATOC designer of record, JMT, supported Signature on this FBI project as the A/E subcontractor and designer of record.

The new office suite consisted of closed offices, open offices with workstations, a conference room, break area, and dedicated reception area. The break area included a sink with disposal as well as space for a microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and refrigerator. Mechanical, electrical, communication, and fire protection systems were adapted to serve the new spaces.

Work included new partitions, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, doors, door frames, door hardware, and interior signage. Our team demolished the existing suspended ceiling systems and floor finishes. Catalogued, packaged, and moved existing study furniture, shelving, and books to new locations on the first floor.
